Hi friends!
Something that I learned from a student that I was tutoring in the ARC for Early Childhood was that color theory is being taught so early in schools now. The student explained to me that, starting as early as preschool, children learn about individual colors and what happens when they mix.
As the children reach the early elementary level, they start to learn about color temperatures, tints, and shades. I thought this was so interesting because we learn about color theory in our program and, even though it’s more advanced, it still all roots back to the very first years of our lives.
Most of us have probably been experimenting with color for much longer than we think, but as designers, this experimentation has become more deliberate as we have deepened our knowledge base.
