In class today, we had presentations on color theory, and I learned so much!
Here are a few things I learned:
- Objects that are lighter in value recede, while objects that are darker are more pronounced.
- Desaturation on one object amongst others can create contrast between the elements and elevate a certain mood.
- When using colors, 2 systems should be established: single-variable and multiple-variable systems. Single-variable systems depend only on the number of colors (quantity), while multiple-variable systems depend on both the quantity of colors and changes in value or saturation.
