Hi friends!
My cat, Theo, decided his bowl was too empty and let me know that it was not up to his standards by biting me. 🙁 Not the first time, and it probably won’t be the last, to be honest. Anyway, I had run out of Band-Aids, so I had to make a quick run to Walmart.
While I was at Walmart looking for Band-Aids (latex-free of course), I noticed that amongst the sea of blue, white, and red boxes of the premium Band-Aids, there was a box that caught my eye. It was a box that had fruits and flowers on it, which is much more appealing to me, if I’m honest. I picked up the box in curiosity and was pleasantly surprised that they were 1. latex-free, 2. way cheaper than the actual Band-Aid brand (and even the Walmart Equate brand) and 3. actually had fruits and flowers on them! Side note: I dislike when products have a trendy pattern on the packaging, but then note on the actual product. I’d much rather wear a band-aid that has cute flowers or fruits on it than some plain band-aid that is slightly different than my skin tone.
This product has inspired me to keep my designs whimsical, even if it’s just another ordinary product. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel to make something work well.
The moral of the story is that if you can catch someone’s eye with an appealing design, you can make yourself stand out (even if you’re up against the brands that already have an established reputation).
Here’s the box for reference!
